How To Fix a Dead ECIG Vape Tank Mod 18650 Battery

If your ecig is not working and you have checked your charger, chances are the 18650 battery thats placed inside the device is probably dead. This can happen if you have not used your ecig for a while and its been sitting the cupboard for some time. When you store an 18650 battery you will need to ensure that you half charge them and place them into a plastic box so the room conditions dont mess up the battery on your mod. Now original 18650 batteries for your ecig are hard to come by these days with some many fakes on the market. So its best to see if you can fix your dead ecig battery using this method.

If you have only one 18650 battery then you are out of luck because you need another fully charged working 18650 battery to wake the dead one up. Also this is 100% safe to do, your ecig wont be blowing up in the middle of the street. This is an approved method that we always used at our ecig shop to fix customers dead batteries in there ecig that have not been charged up for a long time.

1) Place the positive terminals on both 18650 batteries together.

2) Get a piece of electrical wire.

3) Jumper both negative terminals from battery to battery like shown in the image above. Do this in short burst of a couple of seconds, repeat around 3 times. This will reset the 18650 battery and wake it up because whens it below normal voltage it shuts itself down and wont charge.
