How To Change Battery In ECIG VAPE PEN

If you notice that your ecig vape pen is no longer holding charge, you may have to replace it. Batteries are only meant to last so long, most ecig batteries have around 500 times you can charge and recharge them before the battery life slowly decreases. Most ecig vape pens use an bog standard 18650 battery. It looks just like a normal AA battery in terms of looks. However, there is more to it, you want to use the correct type of battery for your mod. Batteries all look the same, however using one that is not compatible with your device can cause issues. You need to match the battery with the coil in the tank. It needs to support the amps the coil draws when pressing the firing button, this is calculated by the ohms. 

Each coil has a different ohm rating, the lower it is the more vape clouds, with taking more battery power into counter. Pushing a battery above its wattage rating it is designed for could lead to your ecig blowing up in your face. Most people that are in the newspaper articles frighten ecig users, but did you know most of the time it is a user error that caused it. Now all ecig batteries provide the same voltage, the only difference is they come in different mah. The higher this is the more longer the battery is going to last, however the lower mah the more power the battery can provide in expense of less battery life. Sub ohm mods tend to use lower mah batteries to be on the safe side when building your own stuff.

Some good batteries are the Samsung 25R and the Sony VTC4 for below 2500mah. If you are looking for maximum battery life the LG HG2 are rated at 3000mah at are good for most single battery devices.

Remember one thing when buying batteries online. There are many fakes on the market that look like the real thing, cause all that is needed really is some heatshrink to cover the battery. Fake batteries provide a risk, either causing damage to your device or poor performance. For new ecig batteries i usually recommend most people to head down to their local vape shop.

If you got your new battery you will need to know how to change the battery in your ecig vape pen.

1) Click the fire button 5 times to turn off your ecig.

2) Remove the back cover. Usually it will just pull of they are magnetic.

3) Using the edge of your finger, pry up the battery from the ecig to remove the old ecig battery.

4) Now that you have done that, insert your new battery but ensure that the polarity is correct. If you place the battery the wrong way around nothing will happen as most ecig products have reverse protection circuit.

5) Once you have done that, click the fire button 5 times to see if the screen comes on. If it does you have successfully changed the battery in you ecig vape pen. If you don't, reinsert the battery and make sure its the correct way.

6) Once you have installed your new battery into your ecig vape pen, plug in a USB charge and allow it to fully charge for a maximum of three hours. This will ensure that the battery gets a good strong charge. Please don't use the ecig after a fresh battery change, this will wear down the performance right away and it will never be the same as it was designed.
