Everything Explained On How To Use Temperature Control on a Vape Pen

Temperature control may appear of a new technology at first to people that vape or you might of heard about it at your vape shop near me. In fact, this feature has been ongoing for many years. Many vapors tend to use the regular power mode that allows you to control the power of the coil by increasing the watts. This for most people works well and there are not many vape tanks that actual support temp control, which is why it’s not so popular yet. The main benefit of using temperature control over the normal regular wattage mode is you can prevent the chances of dry hits when vaping. This is because it allows monitoring and restricting the temperature of the heating element, stopping it to exceed a certain level. For example, the if the cotton wick becomes dry from little e-juice, the temp will increase and the TC mode will stop any power going to it. If you want to use temp control, you will need to check if your mod supports TC mode. Most popular ecig manufactures such as SMOK tend to add variable wattage and variable voltage mode inside the chip fitted into their mods. The SMOK alien and GX2/4 currently support temp control, flick through the menu using the up and down arrows on your mod to switch modes.

Not only does the mod have to support temperature control, the coil fitted inside the vape tank needs to be either made from Nickel (Ni) and Titanium (Ti) metals. If you are using stainless steel (SS) coils, you can also use coils made from that material in regular wattage mode as well in temp mode. However, with the other types mentioned you are only restricted to using them in temp control mode. Right now, there are not many SMOK vape tanks that support temp control. I would recommend if you are using a SMOK vape tank, to purchase the RDA section, that way you can build whatever coils you want. You also need to be aware that Kanthal wire doesn't support temp control. You also need to be in the correct temp control mode on your device for the type of wire your coil is made from.

With temperature control, if you are regularly changing e-liquid you will need to regularly adjust the temp settings to get the best possible flavor with your e cigarettes. This can be tricky at first, which is the main reason why most people go with the simple wattage mode. Popular vaping temperature is in the range of 392°F - 480°F and 200°C- 250°C, so I recommend that you have a play around with the settings around these temp figures to see what works best for you. I suggest that you gradually set the increments at 5°C or 10°C as it provides you with a better chance to see the changes in the vape.

Temperature control can sound very confusing at first, but all you got to understand really is it allows control over how hot or cold the coil is, nothing more as it is often overcomplicated. Play around with the different settings or your device to see what works best for you. With this feature, there is no such thing as the best setting, as everybody has their own preferences.
