Why do Vape Pens Explode? I have been hearing on news articles found all over the internet that it has blowed up in someones mouth and pocket. I wanna stop smoking but i rather have cancer than my leg blown off what should i do guys is it worth buying? Which one to purchase there are so many cheap ones on the market on Ebay?

Now there are many reasons to why ecig vape pens explode. The best way is to prevent an ecig from blowing up in your face or pocket is to avoid cheap knock products. For example, there are fake copy ego style pens that are out there for half the price. These might appeal to customers that are on a budget, but really? Would you risk a ecig blowing up in your face for a sake of £40. Personally, its not worth taking the risk and even if the electronic cigarette doesn't blow up, it will stop working at some point, i.e the battery will loose charge. Now let me explain why cheap ecigs blow up. The batteries and connectors are not securely soldered on, they don't have overheat or overcharge protection at all as a safety barrier. Them cheap ecigs that are seen on market stalls for £10 pounds could blow up in your hand its all a matter of when it breaks loose. Thats one point i want to make clear to all. Its not as simple as throwing on a sub ohm tank onto any mod. The impedance of the coil has got to match the amps the battery can take. Usually lower mah batteries last less but provide more amps so that you can vape at high watts safely. For example, if you have coil that is pulling 30 amps and the battery can only provide 15, even though its says full power on the screen its technically not possible. The battery will get stressed out due to all the electrical strain that is placed on it and within seconds of not releasing the firing button it will blow up either in your face or pocket. Dont use fake chargers for the sake of saving a few pounds

Chargers all look the same to most customers, but whats inside them it what counts. Cheap wires and not enough solder inside the connection points on the board can cause problems. Think about it if them two wires short with each other while you are charging your ecig vape pen. Something is bound to go wrong. Always purchase original charger cables from the manufacturer website of the brand of your vape pen and always use the one supplied with the box. Fake ones from ebay could cause problems in the long term, so its best to avoid it now.

Battery Saftey

The battery is the most dangerous part in any electronic ecig vape pen. You need to ensure that its in good condition not dinted or damaged in anyway. If some of the plastic insulation has come of your ecig then its ideal to rewrap your 18650 batteries using insulation tape or heatshrink tubing. Also dont take the battery out and place it in your pocket treating it as a second spare. Things such as keys or coins can create a short between both contacts and the ecig can blow up in your pocket.

Dont overcharge

Go by the recommend time the manufacturer says for the charging time for a fully charged battery on your ecig. There is no point of leaving it on all day because its not gonna charge anymore, if you are using a fake charger this can cause problems such as overheating causing your vape pen to explode during charging. Allow it to charge in a moderated environment, not left alone and unplug after around 2 hours.

Lock the device

Most ecig vape pens have a lock feature on the firing button. If you click it five times it till lock the screen and the button will stop working. So if you accidently press it in your pocket, which can happen if you sit down on it in your car the firing button will not work. If you fail to lock your electronic cig, it can keep firing away without you know repeatedly and because its trapped inside your pocket, there is no ventilation causing the battery to heat up really quickly creating a likelihood of a explosion.
