How To Reduce Nicotine Level in Ejuice For Your Vape Tank

reduce nicotine levels in ejuice at home DIY

Nicotine is the substance that is found in traditional cigarettes that makes them so addictive, hence why it’s hard to stop smoking in the first place. Thankfully, you can get this into your body by vaping on a ecig, all without the bad health effects from the chemicals in normal cigs. Nicotine comes in many different strengths in ejuice from vapeghost.co.nz. Generally, the higher it is the less vapor you require to take in to get the same affect, let me explain. For example, if you were to smoke ejuice rated at 16mg and juice at 3mg, you would only need to take about three vapes to satisfy your nicotine cravings. However, with the 3mg you will need to at least take about eight vapes to get the same level of nicotine in your body. Everybody has got their own preferences, some people prefer low nicotine Eliquid in the 3mg or 6mg category, if you are into cloud chasing and using it with a sub ohm tank. This is because more vapor is produced from a sub ohm tank, so the nicotine in the ejuice will be intensive even on low power. If you have every tried vaping 32mg juice on a sub ohm tank at 50 watts you will know what I mean. I literally ending up coughing for hours and puking in the sink. Let says it say it’s a very unpleasant experience, the nicotine is too strong and I wouldn’t recommend it to nobody.

If you have been unfortunate enough to pick up a higher nicotine of vape e-liquid that you are not familiar to smoking and when vaping you start coughing or it hurts your throat, the strength is too high for your likening. We have all sweet spots for the nicotine level found in vape juice. With prices gone up for ejuice, it’s hard not to waste anything. It is impossible to take out all the nicotine out of the ejuice that is already there. However, if you want to reduce the nicotine level in your ejuice you can use straight USP Grade VG and add it to your existing ejuice diluting it to a lower nicotine level. Its easy done, but you need to get it right or your vape juice will taste like crap, similar to toilet or vomit water only kidding, but you get the picture. You get USP Grade VG from many local convenience stores or online and its cheap as well.

Here is the basic rule of mixing VG with existing high nicotine ejuice:

For example, if you want to make 6mg nicotine vape e-liquid go down to low 3mg, what you would need to do is add 30ml of USP grade VG to your 30ml bottle of eliquid that is at 6mg.

Instead of adding 30ml VG what you can also do is add 30ml of nicotine free ejuice as it works the same. It depends what you can get hold of at the time. Some people have used water as they want to cheap out on it, but from personal experience I noticed that is also gets rid of the taste. So, I would not recommend it to save a few pounds, as you will destroy a full bottle of 30ml ejuice that is $12, if that makes sense.

1) You will need a 60ml bottle that is empty to do your mixing in.

2) Pour all your high nicotine level ejuice from the bottle into the 60ml empty bottle.

3) Pour 30ml of USP grade VG into the 60ml bottle. So now you will have the existing high nicotine eliquid and the added VG ingredients.

4) Now screw the bottle cap on the 60ml bottle and shake it for 15 seconds. This will mix the existing eliquid fully with the newly added VG. Once you have done that, allow the bottle to sit for 5 minutes, you have now reduced the nicotine level in your ejuice by 50%.

Thats all there is to it to be fair. There are a lot of confusing articles on the internet containing too much information and everybody has got their own preferred method. This works the best for me and it should for you to, I have written it in the simplest way possible so you can understand how the nicotine level gets reduced in your eliquid.
