How To Fix Burnt Coil Taste on SMOK Baby Beast Tank

smok baby beast dry hits

If you are new to vaping, it is hard to perfect getting good flavour all the time. When I was new to vaping with my baby beast tank, I always used to get dry burnt harsh hits every time I vaped. Due to getting poor flavour from my vape pen, I was close to giving up vaping and going back to smoking. I was going through replacement coils every day and I was unsure of what I was doing wrong. Many new vapers experience this as well, which is why today I have written this article to help you with this common problem in the vaping industry to help you get the Vape Magazine Canada. The more smokers that I can help switch to vaping, the world will be a better place. I want to do all I can, by sharing my information and knowledge to help encourages others to vape and overcome common problems.

Now, I have been vaping for many years, ran a few vape shops and know the insides and out now. Let me explain first why you get the burnt taste with the coil you are using. Inside each coil head, you might have noticed the white cotton stuff that is wrapped around the metal coil. The cotton turning bad is the cause to get dry burnt hits on your vape pen. This is because the cotton has probably been dry while being fired up. If this is the case, then the cotton will have to e-juice to vaporise, so instead, it will start to burn the cotton. Once this has happened, the taste will never be the same again, as once the cotton has gone bad it's useless. This isn’t just with SMOK tanks, all tanks work the same way when it comes to getting dry burnt vape hits, you can Canadian Vape Magazine about this. Most of the time it’s a user error of not priming the coils beforehand. Either because the importance has not been justified to the person using the vape pen or is unaware that you must prime coils before use.

The best way is to prevent the coil from being dry before you fire it. If you perfect this, then you will get at least a good week from your baby beast coils with a doubt. Priming is a very important step before using your coil. This involves you to wet the cotton inside before filling the SMOK vape tank with juice. This allows the cotton to soak up, just before you top up the vape tank with eliquid. So, when you fire the coil for the first time, you will not get any dry hits at all.

If you are getting a burnt taste on your SMOK baby beast, you can clean the coils using alcohol or vinegar, however this only works for a short while. After a day or so, the burnt taste will more than likely come back, so it a temporary fix. But, if you are short on coils, this is a good way for a quick emergency vape, until you order your new coils and they arrive.

The best thing is to start fresh with a brand-new coil. Once you have it, follow my instructions to stop any bad taste coming into your vape. I can assure you it will 100% fix all your burnt taste problems with your vape pen. Be certain to follow all steps and not skip anything.

1) Place the coil into the SMOK baby beast tank.

2) You will see small wicking holes placed around the coil that will expose white cotton.

3) Get your bottle of ejuice and pour 3 drops in each wicking hole. There are around five placed around the coil head. Also, place 5 drops inside the centre of the coil. Remember don't overdo it by filling it will lot of e-juice, this will only result in the coil leaking it back out, as the cotton can only hold so much.

4) Place the Pyrex glass back onto the vape pen. Open the filling hatch found at the top of your SMOK baby beast tank. Fill the tank with your favourite eliquid until it reaches the top. Again, don't overfill, as it could cause leaking problems later and become very messy when you handle your mod.

5) Please allow around 15 minutes before using your vape tank. This will provide enough time for the cotton to soak up. Once the time has passed, you can then safely vape on your tank. Start with 20 watts and after three hits increase the wattage by 5. So, 20 watts, three hits, 25 watts three hits, 30 three hits and so on. Keep doing this until you reach your maximum recommend rating for the coil. This may sound strange and many people avoid it, but it allows the coil to break in. Going for full power straight away can easily cause a dry hit.

You should now be experiencing zero dry hits on your SMOK baby beast tank with your new coil using my method. To avoid getting dry hits after you have primed the coil for the first time correctly, always ensure that the e-liquid doesn't go down more than a quarter in your vape tank. Always carry your bottle of e-juice around with you. Running low on eliquid can dry out the cotton on the vape tank. Another top tip is to run the coil on higher wattage than it is recommended for. The recommended range of SMOK coils, regardless if it’s for the SMOK TFV8 or TFV12 line, is the optimal range for best flavour and clouds, as well as lifespan. The maximum range should be avoided at all costs, as that rating is not continuous, but is only recommend if you are doing cloud comps. The coil might handle it for a few seconds at the higher rating it states on the coil specs, however, you will risk it burning out quicker.
