There are lots of different vape pens on the market, all of them have different means of refilling. Some of these vape pens are refilled using fresh tanks and others are refilled by manually refilling the atomizer with e-liquid. Depending on how often you smoke using the vape pen, you may need to refill more frequently, because of this it is important to realize how this process works.
Closed System e-cigarettes
The tank system is used in the Closed System in a vapor starter kit. This means that the e-liquid its contained in the tank itself and it cannot be manually refilled. Replacing a tank is very simple: when you start to notice a change in the way the vape pen performance, it’s time for a newer tank. The changes can include lower vapor generation and less flavor. To replace a tank just unscrew the used one and throw it away responsibly. Then use a new tank and screw it onto the vape pen. The same applies when using pod system such as the Juul, you will have to replace the pod cartirdge.
However, there are some pod vaping systems out there that allow you to fill up and keep the same tank attached.
Open System e-cigarettes
E-liquid that are part of bottles are often used to refill Open System vape pens. The Open System vape pens atomizer (where the e-liquid is stored) can be opened up manually. These devices have a clear window on the side of the device so you can see when the liquid has run out. To refill these, vape pens, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the mouthpiece and battery from the atomizer.
2. Avoid center tubing.
3. Fill the Atomizer. Gauge level using the clear window.
4. Screw mouthpiece and battery back onto Atomizer.
5. Take a few shorter drags for better vapor production.
