How Long is a Vape Coil Supposed to Last?
Nothing lasts forever. Like all things, coils have a lifetime. You will notice when you feel a burnt taste, less steam production, a spill of liquid in your atomizer and increase of the ohms. These are the signs that indicate that it is time to change your coil (s). In short, if your coil and absorbent material look dark and/or crusted, you have two alternatives or clean or change them.
Many variables influence the coil performance and its lifetime. The lower ohms mean less coil, which absorbs more energy from the battery to heat the coil faster. Vaping with low coil means more demand for your coil. A casual vaper will have to change its coil-less frequently than a constant one.
The flavors also influence the duration of the coil. The sweeter flavors caramelize the coils faster than, for example, a basic fruit e-liquid. If you love desserts or sweet coffee flavors, you're going to require more changes in the coil. Other variables include acidity, viscosity (higher VG blackens the coils faster) and the time you press the power button (longer puffs = less coil life).
In general, your coil should be changed if you experience any of the following symptoms:
· Taste reduction/steam production
· E-liquid leakage problems
· Gurgle
· Taste to burned
· Persistent strong taste
· Greater reading of ohms with respect to the initial value of the coil when it was placed for the first time
· Dissatisfaction with your vaping in general
