Different methods on taking cannabis for the first time

 

Cannabis is a great way to enjoy its natural healing compounds, however taking it for the first time it can be a bit daunting. There are many different ways to consider when taking cannabis. Each have their own benefits and disadvantages. Some you may consider of others because it will fit into your lifestyle better. I have personally tried all the different methods on taking cannabis to identify the differences between each one. 

Smoking. This is the unsafiest method even when you smoke cannabis pure without any added tobacco. The cannabis itself is not harmful, but when burning in the joint, tar and toxins are being produced which is then inhaled into your lungs when you take a hit on the joint. Overtime, this may cause some internal implications to your body. However, the experience of rolling a blunt or joint is amazing and if you are a cigarette smoker then you may consider this as a first option. Also smoking cannabis allows the cannabis products to get into your system quicker than edibles. You can expect to feel the high kick in after 5 minutes or so.

Vaping. This is the safest way to do it if you like the idea of smoking, but don't want to inhale the bad toxins created. Vaping doesn’t produce any tar or smoke as there is no combustion taking place. You will need a portable or desktop vaporiser. These can cost a few hundred dollars to purchase, but the long-term benefits on your health I personally think it is worth it. 

Edibles. These are great if you are looking for the most stealth way to consume cannabis on the go. Cannabis is infused into edible treats, such as cakes and cookies. You simply digest the edible and that’s it. This is the safest way out of all the methods, as there is no impact on your lungs. However, edibles take the longest to kick in. Sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes for the high to kick in.
