If you don't prime a sub ohm coil it won't break in properly because the cotton will not be fully soaked will eliquid. If you simply change the old coil with a new coil and fill up the tank, the first hit you tank off your vape pen will damage the coil. Once the coil is burned out, you can't replace it unless its an RDA style. Before installing a brand new sub ohm coil into your tank for your ecig vape pen, you will need to prime it before use. This will ensure that the white cotton inside the coil is wet with lots of eliquid, preventing any dry harsh burnt taste to occur. Priming sub ohms coils for different tanks are usually the same process and are not that hard to do. Its something you need to get used to doing if you are vaping at high watts its something you are going to have to do weekly.
1) Remove the old coil from the base of the tank
by unscrewing it off.
2) Insert your new coil into the base screwing it
tightly into it.
3) Pour 3-4 drops of eliquid inside the middle
area of the coil. This will ensure that it gets directly into the cotton that
is placed around the wire inside.
4) To ensure the best possible prime in for your
sub ohm tank, you will see holes around the coil on the outside. Pour a few
drops of ejuice into the holes as you go around.
Its easy to prime any kind of sub ohm subtank
coil. Its worth doing it won't take you more than 30 seconds. We have seen load
people go through burnt coils all because they weren’t properly primed for the
first use. Don't make the mistake and prevent it with your new coil!
