How To Clean Sub Ohm Tank Coils For ECIG Vape Pen

how to clean old sub ohm tank coils

If you notice that your sub ohm coils don’t last as long, you can try cleaning them before you throw them away. With clean sub ohm coils it can help increase the lifespan and allow you to get a few extra days to a week from an old coil. The best way to clean vape coils is to rinse them and allow them to soak in rubbing alcohol solution. You can get it from ebay or Amazon for a few bucks in a bottle and will last you ages. If you want to clean your sub ohm tank and coils, you will find this vaping article very useful.

1) Twist the glass from the tank. You will have the top part and the bottom part separated from the vape tank.

2) Remove the coil from the tank by twisting it anticlockwise.

3) Rinse the glass and tank under cold tap water.

4) Get a container and fill it less than half with rubbing alcohol.

5) Drop in your coil into the solution. Its advised to drop multiple coils all at once that way you are getting the most out of rubbing alcohol to minimize wasting it.

6) Allow the coils to soak overnight.

7) Wake the next morning, pull each coil out of the solution. Again, rinse it under tap water to provide an intensive clean.

8) Get a hair dryer and dry the water off the coils. Tab the coil dry with a clean new tissue.

9) Reinsert it back into the bottom of the tank screwing it in place.

10) Prime the coil, place a few drops of eliquid into the cotton, followed by tanking it up fully and allowing it to sit for 10 minutes or longer.

Gunky e-liquids that are thick and high in nicotine can cause coils to degrade and perform poorly with a harsh burnt taste. Cleaning your sub ohm coils once a week will help make the last longer. If you are still noticing a weird taste or not the clouds you should get, then you must bin it. But hey at least you have tried to restore your old ecig vape coils. With this cleaning method, its trial and error, it either works or it doesn’t depend on how much the ecig coil has been used. But most of the time I seen that it works for making old coils work like new again for a few more days to a week,
