How To Put Ejuice In a Vape Tank / Guide For All Tanks Big or Small

first time vaping guide for beginners

If you are new to vaping, you will love our website. I have a passion for vaping and over the years I have found out cool tips and tricks about things I didn't know before. Hence, why I have created a blog to share them with you guys. Anyway, todays blog post is all about filling up a vape tank for the first time. It is important that you do this correctly, since if you don't prime to coil properly before the first use, it will result in a burnt taste in your mouth. This means a ruined coil, messing up your first time vape experience completely. I know many vapors that have gone back to smoking because of the taste and it all had to do with not priming the coils correctly. This is why I have heard some people say nah ecigs taste like crap. I mean nobody wants a harsh, dry hit going down their throat that makes you cough and spit all over the place. However, many new people that are just got into vaping and got there brand new ecig for their first time, without knowing simply fill the tank without priming, immediately this is the wrong way of doing things.

There are two types of tank filling designs. Bottom Fill as known as BVC, means you will have to unscrew the tank and fill it from the bottom. The Aspire K1 and the Aspire Nautilus Mini has this feature, including the good old flavour chaser vengeance tank. Its kind outdated now, this why you don't see newer tanks such as the SMOK TFV8 have this. The newer tanks have a top filling system. This is the best in my opinion because all you need to do is flick the top cap and pour in your 100mg nicotine base ejuice. This results in quicker refilling and overall less mess all over your tank.

Priming The Coil (VERY IMPORTANT) Get it right the first time.

If you don't prime you ecig coil, you run the risk of dry burning the cotton. When you press the fire button, the metal wire that looks like a spring heats up. If there is not enough eliquid soaked up on the cotton wicks the coils are wrapped around, then instead of heating juice it will heat up cotton. This provides you that nasty dry hit taste. Once you have got this with your coil, it will not go away and it will keep coming back. You can't wash the coils and get rid of the taste. This resulting in you going through coils wasting them effortlessly. Coils are not cheap and you should do all your best to make the last long as possible. An average lifespan for a coil should be around 3-4 weeks if you are a normal user.

1) Unscrew the glass from your tank.

2) Look at the coil carefully. You will see small holes around it and some cotton placed in the middle. These are called wicking holes and are there for a reason, to get the eliquid soaked up inside the cotton as quick as possible. Pour two drops into each hole that is placed around the coil. Pour 5 drops directly into the middle area of the ecig coil.

3) This will ensure that the coil is fully primed. Now you will have to fill the tank up.

4) If its top fill, simply flick the top hatch off. You will then see a small hole at the top, this is used to fill ejuice into it. Simple unscrew the cap of your eliquid bottle and place the pointy nozzle into the hole. Squeeze the bottle, gently monitor how full the tank is getting. Once it hits the top, stop filling and place the cap back onto your bottle. Flick the hatch back and ensure that it is securely placed back into its original position, as the last thing you want is a leaking tank.

As for bottom fill tank, you will need to unscrew the glass from the base that the coil goes into. Then pour in the eliquid directly into the bottom half of the glass. It’s a bit old school this, but its only used for them cheaper or old designed tanks. Since manufacturers later on realised how much convivence a top filling tank provides to its customers.

IMPORTANT - Once you have filled up your tank allow it so sit upright for 10 minutes. This will ensure that all the purity clouds nicotine base has gone into the coil.
