How To Stop a ECIG Vape Tank Getting Too Hot Or Warm

how to stop a ecig tank getting warm
You are probably wondering what these are? They are ecig coolers. Read further into the blog post to find out more....
If you notice that your ecig vape tank or mouthpiece gets too hot to use, this might be something you need to take seriously. There can be some serious dangers if your ecig is overheating. This can be from a faulty or damaged 18650 battery but this is vary rear in most cases. To avoid this happening, always ensure that you use original replacements. There are many fakes on Ebay and Amazon and there is a reason why they are cheap. They don't have any kind of safety protection and also don't hold charge as long. Please ensure that you take battery safety very serious, many don't and I must stress it’s something that needs to be taken very seriously. Most regulated mods from Kangertech, Aspire and SMOK have built in overheat protection, which shuts off the device if it gets too hot to use. Therefore, I like regulated mods, but if you have a mechanical mod its even risky, you really got to know what you are doing with ohms before using one of them.

If your battery is in good condition and it is original and your ecig vape mod is still getting too hot, I have some top tips to share with you to get a cooler vape.

1) Chain vaping. This is when you keep vaping none stop for endless hours without really having a rest. Although, it may be fun it can't be good for the mod, as the heat from the tank will transfer to the battery and other electrical parts. Either reduce the watts or have a 5-minute break in between to be safe. I would suggest that you get a tank such as the SMOK TFV12 that is made for cloud chasing that can take the stress.

2) Open up the airflow. All tanks have adjustable airflow. It’s a ring that you twist around at the bottom of the tank and you can either open or close it. Leaving it fully open, allows more cool air to be drawed into the bottom of the coils when you are sucking on the mouthpiece. This provides a cooler vaping temperature, you will notice it being not as warm as before with the airflow almost closed.

3) Turn down the power. The more watts you have set your mod to, the more heat is going to be produced to making bigger clouds. This is ideal if you are cloud chasing, however if you want a smooth cool vape turn the power in the 30 to 40 watt range for best efficiency You will also notice that your coils in your vape tank will last longer as well and the battery life will noticeable increase by 50 %.

4) Add a separate heat sink to your ecig. You don't see these that often and I have only come across them recently while reviewing a product that was sent in to me. They fit onto the base of the tank and go on top of the 510 connector on your mod. So its sandwiched in between the vape tank and mod to help remove heat that is created. Its similar to how a computer processor CPU uses a heat sink and fan setup to keep things running cool. Best thing about them is that you are can get them for only a few dollars online from most ecig vendors.
