How To Make ECIG Coils Last Longer, Save $$$$ Money

Let’s face it, ecig coils are not cheap and its best to get the most out of them so you don't have to change them as often. Sub ohm ecig coils don’t seem to last long at all, I have found regardless of any brand I can burn out a coil in one day. Obviously, this is by chain vaping all day on high wattage, which is quite easily done if you vape on low nicotine and are a cloud chaser. Now from experience, there are several things that you can do make your ecig coils last longer. Here are my top tips, starting with the most important to help you get the most out of your local e cigarette store.

1) Prime the coil well. It is essential before using a brand new vape coil that you prime the cotton with lots of eliquid. Personally, I would recommend that you place a couple of drops into the wicking holes found around the coil head. Also, it is advisable that you place a few drops into the center. Once you have primed the brand new vape coil, I would recommend that you fill the vape tank up to the fullest and allow it to sit upright. This will allow the ejuice to fully allow the fresh cotton to be soaked before using it, reducing the chances of you getting dry hits.

2) Don't vape on empty. Having little to none ejuice in the vape tank won't allow the cotton to wick up the juice quickly enough. This will result in some parts of the cotton to remain wet and dry. Having experienced this myself, running your vape tank like this will certainly burn out the vape coil at a much more quicker rate. To avoid this situation, simply keep on top of your vape tank running low at all times. I would recommend if you vape on the move to carry a small 10ml of eliquid with you so you can easily top up when you need to and not having to risk running on empty.

3) Don't chain vape. If you keep chain vaping none stop, chances are the cotton is not going to wick in time for the next hit. This can result in an unexpected dry hit at any given time. I recommend that you take around 5 seconds before taking your next hit to avoid this happening. If you want to chain vape, I suggest that you move over the larger sub ohm tanks such as the SMOK TFV12 that can handle the tolerance of a heavy vapor.

4) Vape just below the recommended wattage range. All vape coils have a recommended wattage range that they can handle. A maximum and a recommended. In most situations, going around the maximum rating on your ecig vape coil will damage the coil quicker. A maximum wattage rating should only be used for short bursts. The recommended rating is what the companies have tested for consistent performance and the quality of the vape from a coil head. I would always recommend that you stay 5 watts below the recommended wattage of the coil to maximize its performance.

5) Try not to use thicker ejuices. Eliquids that contains more VG than PG tend to be thicker. This means that the contents of the eliquid will gather up quicker on the vape coil. People tend to use higher VG ejuices for better cloud production. If you are looking for more flavor, I would suggest that you go for a higher PG ratio, be sure to ask your local vape store.

These are all my favorite top tips to make ecig coils last longer. They work for me, so they should also work for you. If you have any more tips to add, feel free to message and I will consider adding them to this article. Cheers.
