Why is CBD legal, what are the side effects will it get me high?

You may have come across the term CBD recently. The cannabis plant has two main properties that it is widely known for. THC is the most popular one and CBD also being the second popular one. All products that are purely CBD based are legal because they don't contain any mind-altering properties when consumed. With taking CBD oil on its own, it will provide you with the health benefits of feeling relaxed, less depressed and help you sleep better, all without the high feeling that THC provides. Since CBD doesn't make you feel how THC does, you can still continue your day to day tasks, you can go to work and you can also drive. Therefore, CBD is not illegal, however, THC is certain parts of the world are still illegal and you could get in trouble for consuming it. I always recommend that you check with your local law and regulations to see which types of cannabis are legal and which are not.

If you are thinking CBD is legal and it will get you high the answer is no. Before it is placed on the shelves of your local health store, all the THC content is filtered out. Some CBD products still have a small amount of traces of THC content, however, it is at a very low percentage that you will not get any of the high feeling effects, THC delivers alone. All CBD manufacturers have to comply with the law before they are allowed to be delivered to there consumers.

Even though CBD won't get you high, there are also several other health benefits that can improve the quality of your life. You don't have to get a medical marijuana card or go to your local doctors for a recommendation, you can simply walk into your local health store or pick up a bottle of CBD online. CBD comes in different strengths. You will notice CBD oil in the 1000 to 2000 mg region are costly, compared against a bottle of CBD that is 500 mg. Higher strength CBD is not always needed and most people get good results with 250 to 500mg bottles. However, if you suffer from severe anxiety or depression and high levels of muscle pain, the higher the CBD the quicker you will feel the benefits. I say start with a small dosage and see how it works for you, as it is different for everybody.
