How To Change Coil on a Vape Pen
The average lifespan of a vape coil can range between 7 days to two weeks. It’s hard to say when a coil needs changing, however, if you notice a drop-in performance and taste, it’s time to change the coil. The clouds will start to get smaller and the taste will no longer become flavourful. Smoking a burnt coil is not good, because you are inhaling burnt particles of cotton, which can't be healthy for our lungs. Therefore, I always recommend that you carry spare replacement vape coils with you on the go. So, if your coil does decide to go out on you, you can quickly make the switch and enjoy that same great taste again. If you are new to vaping, the process of replacing the coil on a vape pen is straight forward and doesn't take long at all to do. The process is usually the same regardless of what brand vape coil you are using. When purchasing replacement coils, make sure they are original, e-liquids.uk provide a high-quality replacement for all your popular vape tanks. Fake coils look like originals, however are made from poorly constructed materials, which can cause a bad vape and bring up safety concerns, something which nobody wants.
Now that you have your replacement coils from a reliable vape shop such as eliquids.uk, you can continue with the rest of the guide to replace the coil.
1) When changing your coil, I suggest that you move over to a sink, either in the bathroom or kitchen, as the replacement process can become messy.
2) Remove the vape tank from the mod.
3) Holding the top of the vape tank and the bottom with the other hand, turn both parts in the opposite direction. You will notice right away; the glass will become undone if you keep going anti-clockwise.
4) Drain all the old vape liquid from the glass and give it a rinse, followed by drying it with a paper towel. Cleaning the glass will ensure that the vape tank leftover juice doesn't mix in with the new juice that is applied after the new replacement vape coil has been fitted.
5) Removing the old coil. The old coil will be placed into the base of the vape tank. Clean the coil head with a paper towel to avoid it slipping. Using your hand, turn the coil head anticlockwise, after a few turns the coil should simply pop off.
6) Insert the new replacement coil head by lining it up with the coil base. Keep turning it clockwise until it locks in place. Don't overturn the coil, as this can cause it to become problematic when attempting to change again later.
7) Prime your brand-new coil. Priming is very easily done. Simply pour 50/50eliquid onto the coil head and into the wicking holes found around the vape coil. This will ensure the cotton is nicely soaked to avoid dry burning it.
8) Reattach the glass back onto the coil base and turn it clockwise. Again, don't overturn, as this can result in the glass cracking. Now all you need to do is open the top filling hatch and apply your favourite e-liquids.uk brand into the glass. It is recommended that you wait 15 minutes before going for your first vape on a fresh coil, to ensure that the coil is fully primed before use.
