How To Make the Battery On Your Vape Pen Last Longer

A vape pen is powered by a battery. The battery provides power for the heating element, also known as the coil to transfer the vape liquid to vapor. If you had previously been a heavy smoker from before, chances are you're going to vape a lot. Vaping although provides several health benefits can cause inconvenience when you want to vape on your break and the battery is dead. I have had this problem many times when I was new to vaping on the go and I was so close to going back to smoking. Over the years, I have discovered top tips to help improve the battery life on my vape. I am going to share them with you all today on my vape blog, as you will find this information useful.

Firstly, what I am want to do is explain the mAh rating on a vape battery. Now vape batteries come in different mAh ratings, the large the number, let’s say 3000mAh vs 2000mAh, the 3000mAh will not provide you with any more power, or bigger clouds. However, a higher rated 3000mAh battery will provide you with more battery life because of its higher capacity, however, the amps will be less, so this means you won't be able to run it at higher wattages safely, as opposed with a 2000mAh battery in most cases. So, in simple terms, higher the mAh on a 18650 battery, the longer it will last compared to a lower mAh battery. However, always do your research on batteries and what wattages they can handle, based on the Ohms of your vape coil to be on the safe side. Battery safety is always important and shouldn’t be taken lightly. My personal two favorite batteries on the vape market right now are the LG HG2 and the Samsung 25R. Make sure you always purchase original batteries from a respectable vape shop such as e-liquids.uk to avoid disappointment. Cheap batteries with rewraps that claim to be the real deal don't last as long and are risky to handle.

Right, that’s enough of battery safety today. Let’s get down to the top tips to make your vape battery last longer.

1) Don’t vape on higher wattages. Sometimes vaping at higher wattages can be satisfying, however, if you keep it to a limit, your battery will appreciate it. Higher watts means more power being drained from your vape pen. It also means more eliquid is being used and more stress is placed on the vape coil. Overall, this is not good. I always suggest that you vape in the minimum wattage range to keep battery performance at its best.

2) Use an external charger. Using an external charger is the better option when vaping because it will guarantee that both batteries in your vape pen at charging at the same voltage. If you use USB to charge your vape batteries through your mod, the batteries will not get equally charged. I found that usually, one battery voltage is higher than the other, this causes the other battery to work harder when vaped on and eventually kills the second battery’s performance. You can purchase an external charger at e-liquids.uk vape shop if you go under the battery section.

3) I always recommend that you carry spare batteries on the go. This allows you to switch over to your fully charged vape battery anytime you required. However, you must carry them safely, which involves you to transport the vape batteries in a plastic case. Never, leave lose 18650 batteries in your pocket as that is dangerous if keys and coins get in contact with the metal pins on the battery. Keep spares in a bag away from heat and sunny weather. Or even consider a mod that houses four 18650 batteries, this will give you more battery life, however, it will also be noticeably bulkier in your pocket.
