Vape pods are great practical devices that use vape juice that are a great alternative to smoking. With many different vape pods to choose from the possibilities are endless. If you're having problems with a vape pod system and it is not working or charging, it’s probably most likely a user error. We have had a lot of people bring back vape pod to our vape shop saying that they are having problems powering on the vape, however, most of the time they don't know the basics and don't bother to read the user manual that is supplied in the box. Daily, I troubleshoot other people's vape pod devices, so I wanted to share my top tips to get your vape working again in my guide.
You need to establish if the vape device is charging first. If it’s not charging correctly, then the battery inside will not have any power to switch on the device. Make sure the USB cable is plugged into the device firmly and firmly into the mains USB adapter that is supplied with your vape kit. Loose connections are a common cause of causing vape pods to stop working and not charge. If the connections look good to you, then try a different USB charging cable. Although the charging cable may look fine on the outside, the wires inside could be broken off inside the connector that goes into the vape. This happens when the wire has been used for some time, as the solder breaks off inside of the wire gets brittle from the bending that happens at the end of the cable.
If you have tried another USB cable of the same kind and you still not having any luck getting your vape pod to work again, then try another USB mains adapter plug. If you don't have one, try a USB port on your laptop or game consoles. This will allow you to identify if the charging wire is the cause of the problem or not. If the vape pod is charging now and working, then you will need to purchase a replacement USB mains adapter.
If you have tried a different USB cable and a different USB mains adapter or attempt to charge your vape device using a different USB port from a device and still it’s not working, try the following. The connector that the vape USB charging wire plugs into, the one found on your vape pod device might be dirty. If the metal contacts inside the connector get obstructed by dust, then the conductivity of the metal will not be strong with the pins in the USB cable. Therefore, causing a poor electrical connection. To clean the USB connector on a vape pod is simple to do, simply get a toothpick and rub it against the pins inside the port and around the area that is above and beneath it. Due to the vape pod being electrical, please don’t use any liquid-based cleaning solutions and remember not to use water. Once you have cleaned the port, give it a quick blow. Reconnect your USB charging wire to see if your vape pod now works.
If the vape device is still not working, try removing the vape pod, giving the contacts a clean and then resit it back onto the bottom battery part. This is because sometimes left over ejuice can collect onto the connectors. Try powering on the device again. If you are still not having no luck, you have done everything you can to get your vape pod working again. It would most likely be a fault with the actual device itself at this stage and the only option would be to purchase a brand-new replacement. Your device may have stopped working if you have dropped it, what this tends to do is damage the small components inside it. The vape pod may have also stopped working due to overcharging or overusing the device. Since the battery inside a vape pod is not replaceable, there is not much you can do, and it’s not advised to change an internal battery at all.
