How To Change & Fix ECIG Vape Pen Battery

If you notice that the battery life on your ecig is slowly decreasing and it is not the same after a full charge like it was out of the box, then you will need to change the battery. If you have a box mod style ecig vape pen, then you can switch out the old 18650 batteries with new ones, its really that simply. But if you have a simply ego style vape pen or a smok stick, then you will need to buy a new bottom part of the vape pen. When you are purchasing replacement batteries for your ecig, you will need to determine two things, one being that they are authenticate and two being the right amps for the power you normally vape at. Both if either incorrect at some point could cause problems with the battery safety of your ecig and you increase the risks of your ecig vape pen blowing up. With some many fakes on the market of 18650 batteries that are basically wrapped batteries that are overrated can cause problems.

The best way to ensure that you have original batteries for your ecig vape pen is to purchase them online direct from the manufacturer. For example if you are after a pair of  LG HG2, then its best to get them from LG themselves rather than Ebay or Amazon for a sake of saving a few pounds. Some good batteries for vaping above 60 watts is the Samsung 25r and the Sony VTC4. If you want the best possible battery life from your ecig vape pen, then you will need to consider the LG HG2. They provide 3000mah and can go for on days but only capable of vaping around 45 watts.

Once you have your batteries its to change them in your ecig mod. How often that you should replace the battery once fitted depends on how its used. Normally i say that most 18650 batteries are good for around 500 chargers before they start loose their full charge.

1) Turn off the ecig mod and remove any charging cable if inserted into the device.

2) Take off any rubber cover that you have placed on your ecig mod to protect it from any damage.

3) If you have a look at the back of the ecig mod, you will notice that you can remove the back battery cover. It should just slide off, usually there are magnets on the back to hold it in place.

5) Dispose correctly your old batteries. Once you have got rid of them, insert your new fresh pair of 18650 batteries into your ecig mod, making sure they are the right way around, dont worry though regulated mods have reverse polarity protection. There will be markings inside showing you positive and negative sides.

6) Once you have changed the batteries in your ecig vape pen mod, charge them fully before use to get the best battery life out of them. The first charge is the most important, if you begin to use your ecig without a full charge, you will already reduce the complete capacity of the battery,
