How To Stop Your Sub Ohm Vape Tank Leaking

stop vape tank leaking

If you are new to using electronic vape pen cigarettes, then you have more than likely run into leaking problems with your device. Vaping on a leaking vape pen can be a very unpleasant experience, as nobody wants to have sticky e-juice all over their hands while vaping. But first, before we begin with any kind of troubleshooting, is vaping on your ecig while e-juice is going through the plastic top mouthpiece dangerous or harmful in any possible way? The answer is no, you are only going to probably digest a very small amount, literally a few drops into your mouth, this isn't going to doing anything. However, if you are going to drink 10ml of pure 18mg nicotine that can be considered bad, as you can get nicotine poisoning, see my point here? We get customers when they come to our stop, to taste e-liquids by placing a few drops on their hand before purchasing it. That way it allows the customers to get an idea of what it could taste like when vaped. However, taste does depend on the type of tank you are using, as some tanks are designed for more clouds than flavor chasing. So, if you have had leaking problems with your vape tank, you can still use your device safely, the only problem will be wasting e-liquid until the problem has been identified and fixed, as well having to go to the toilets to wash your hands every second. If you are looking for high quality stealth vape mod, the Puffmod is an good recommendation.

Now, most of the time a leaking vape tank can be fixed, but in some rare cases, it can be a design flaw in the specific tank you are using. As some tanks that I have reviewed previously have been known to cause spit back. Anyway, here are some top tips that can help you with stopping your vape tank from leaking. It’s worth giving them a try, as the always work for our customers that have similar problems with their vape gear.

1) Make sure you are not overfilling your vape tank. I know that everybody wants to get the most out of there vape tank glass capacity. But sometimes, you don't realize that you are overfilling, as it’s hard to see at the top of the tank, especially when you are in a rush and wanting to fill up quickly. I would recommend that you always leave a very small gap between the top of the glass, just to make sure you to overflow the tank. If you have flooded your tank, please clean it before use. This can be done by removing the top plastic mouthpiece and wiping it down, along with the top hatch area that you open and close to fill. This will prevent any leftover juice spreading and leaking onto the battery.

2) The coil that is fitted in your tank is not securely tightened in line with the top chimney. Have a closer look by taking apart your sub ohm vape tank into different parts, separating them, coils, glass etc.. and check everything is seated securely. Sometimes the coil gets stuck in the chimney and becomes detached from the base that its meant to be screwed into, you know the bottom part of the tank. If there is a small cap between the chimney and the coil, instead of ejuice turning into vapor when it gets up there, instead raw e-juice will make its ways up into the mouthpiece. So quickly go over the metal parts that construct the vape tank. This is to make sure the coil is fitted securely to the bottom base of the tank and when you attach the glass back on its firmly tightened on. Anything that is not screwed tight, increases the chances of a bad loose seal causing leaking problems with your vape tank.

3) Over priming, the coil is never a good idea. When I was new to vaping, I used to literally soak any brand-new coil to a point where my hands were covered in e-juice. I would literally squeeze the bottle of e-juice all over the cotton. This was an incorrect procedure that I did use, but hey I was new to vaping and it was all new to me at the time. When priming your new coil, all you need to do is pour 2 drops around the wicking holes and four small drops in the middle. If you over prime your vape coil, you will notice when you screw it back into the vape tank, the bottom air holes will collect all the extra e-juice that the internal cotton can't hold. So when you blow into the mouthpiece, all the leftover e-juice will burst out of the vape air holes.

4) Keeping your vape pen upright for long periods of time is not ideal. If you leave your pen in let’s say your bag or purse and literally throw it in there, chances are the tank is upright. If your vape tank is placed in this position for a very long time, then all the liquid will be directed towards the mouthpiece. When you are not using your vape pen, always ensure that the battery mod is facing down and the vape tank is facing up. Also, if your vape ecig pen is going to be not used for a while, its best to close the air holes found on the bottom. This will ensure that the e-juice will not leak out. But if you are going to use your ecig for extended periods of time, its best to empty out the glass so there is no remaining eliquid left inside. That way the vape tank has nothing to cause it to leak.

Hopefully, these top vaping tips should have fixed your leaking vaping tank. I had problems with e-juice leaking out of my SMOK TFV8 baby beast and with the SMOK TFV12 prince and I no longer experience leaking problems using my tips. I also forgot to mention that if none of the above work, then try using a different coil. Sometimes coils are not made to 100% perfection, as they are all processed by a robot in some factory somewhere. Sometimes the size and the rubber seals at the bottom can be slightly off. However, if you are using an RDA, using more cotton in your builds fixes the problem. Sometimes there is not enough cotton in the wicking holes, which can cause the e-juice having no place to get absorbed other than gathering up at the bottom. The puffmod is a great compact mod if you are always on the go, you should check it out on the puffman website. Vape on guys.
