How To Know When To Change a Vape Coil?

A vape pen works by heating up with e-liquid inside the tank and transforming it into safer vapour to inhale and exhale. Flavours are added to make the experience much more enjoyable and if you are a smoker, nicotine can be consumed at the same time. To get the best possible performance out of your vape pen, you will need to carry out regular maintenance.

One of the frequent questions we get asked is how to know when to change a vape coil. There is no exact duration on how long a coil can last, it all depends on several factors. How often you vape, how much wattage power you are using and the thickness of the vape juice you are using affect the lifespan of coils. We recommend using high quality ejuice if you are looking for the best flavour and taste from your vape device. This is because it is made from high-quality ingredients guaranteed to provide you with the best possible vaping experience. Our personal favourite is triple menthol for that icy kick in the morning. You can purchase Hangsen eliquids from the eliquidoutlet.com website.

The best way to tell when the vape coil in your vape pen needs changing is by actually vaping on the device. Vape mods don't have an indicator on the screen telling you when to change the vape coil, although this would be a great feature in the future if manufacturers could incorporate this. If you notice a harshness on your vape when you exhale out, like a burning taste like plastic, this is the best sign to tell you to change the coil. This happens because the cotton inside the coil has gone bad, this could be due to overuse, vaping over the maximum wattage rating or dry burning the coil, as you had been vaping on the device and there was no e-liquid left inside it.

Unfortunately, once the vape coil has gone bad there is nothing you can do apart from replacing it with a brand new one. We always recommend that you prime your vape coil before the first use. This involves adding a couple of drops of ejuice into the wicking holes on the coil head. Also filling up the vape tank to the maximum level and allowing it to sit for at least 10 minutes. This will ensure that the vape coil is full absorbed with ejuice before the first use. This will prevent the white cotton burning out inside.
